Mission Statement

Odissi Alliance of North America, a 501(c)(3) organization, is an aspiring network of artists, educators,  researchers and supporters committed to sharing knowledge and building infrastructure to sustain high-quality Odissi performance, education, and scholarship in North America.

Objectives

• Foster an inclusive North American Odissi community that respects all styles, backgrounds and abilities.  

• Encourage communication, collaboration, and creative partnerships between performers, educators, scholars, rasikas, benefactors, and all other members of the Odissi community.

• Facilitate financial assistance and recognition to those demonstrating a commitment to excellence in Odissi performance, education, and scholarship. 

• Cultivate relationships with other mainstream and grassroots arts organizations, with a particular focus on BIPOC-led institutions, to raise the visibility of Odissi within the North American art community.
