Our Mission 

OANA is an aspiring network of artists, educators, and researchers committed to sharing knowledge and building infrastructure to sustain high-quality Odissi performance, education, and scholarship in North America.

Goals & Guiding Principles

• Diversity, Equity, Inclusion 

  Foster an inclusive North American Odissi community that respects all styles, backgrounds, and abilities.   

• Collaboration & Partnership - Within the Odissi Community 

  Encourage communication, collaboration, and creative partnerships between performers, educators, scholars, rasikas, benefactors, and all other members of the Odissi community.

• Collaboration & Partnership - Beyond the Odissi Community 

  Cultivate relationships with other mainstream and grassroots arts organizations, with a particular focus on BIPOC-led institutions, to raise the visibility of Odissi within the North American art community.

• Funding for the Odissi Community 

  Facilitate public and private financial support in recognition to those demonstrating a commitment to excellence in Odissi performance, education, and scholarship.
